I went to San Antonio this week! It's an 8-hour drive from New Orleans, but we had to do it in 10. I have three younger brothers, and the youngest has not yet grasped the "do not drink copious amount of anything while on a road trip" idea. We actually lived there after Hurricane Katrina for about 9 months because we ended up staying for the rest of that school year. Everyone was completely amazing and generous. It was so lovely to see everyone again, especially my friends Sara and Alicia. I hadn't seen them in almost six years! Craziness. Speaking of crazy, my mom's car also broke down on the side of the highway outside of Houston. We had to rent a car, and actually ended up selling hers because the repairs would end up being more than the car. And the rental car went through gas like you would not believe! It was a Nissan Armada, a.k.a. HUGE TANK-LIKE VEHICLE. We had to take it because it was the only thing that would fit all 6 of us. Oh well. it was still a good trip anyway, and that's what really mattered. On to the photos!
